According to an Obama aid who spoke on the condition of anonymity, "It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah". Seriously? He was bending over for a two handed handshake? Not only does that not make any sense, but the video seems to indicate it is just plain false.
The two videos embedded at Berman Post: More on Obama Bows to Saudi Arabian King appear to show the statement is at least misguided.
This first one zooms in to show that Obama's hand was at his side until he stood back up. The two handed grasp did not happen while Obama was bent over.

The second one shows both the interaction of Obama with the Saudi King and the Queen of England. Notice Obama used the double handshake on both. The Queen looks smaller than the Saudi King, but Obama apparently did not feel the need to bend down to shake the Queen's hand.

I think the Obama administration would have been better served to try to ignore this and hope it goes away then to make up what by most appearances seems to be a lie.
