The True Goal of Health Care 'Reform' - Socialized Medicine?

Representative Jan Schakowsky (D) seems to say that the goal of health care 'reform' is eliminating private insurance. Instead of reform, that sounds like a rather large stepping stone to socialized medicine.

For those who would argue that this is just one co-sponsor's opinion, it seems she has a rather powerful ally. That ally is President Obama. Listen to what he said in 2003. Yes, it is a long time ago, but he does not seem to have given any indication his mind has changed.
