United States Declares a Public Health Emergency For The Swine Flu

The United States has declared a public health emergency for the Swine Flu. That sounds more dramatic than it actually is. It is more of a precautionary step which gives local and federal government agencies easier access to flu tests and medications to fight the Swine Flu. Roughly 12 million doses of the drug Tamiflu have been released. Tamiflu is one of the drugs the CDC believes effective against the Swine Flu.
