Obama Approved a Large Turkish Arms Sale to Lebanon

Senior Israeli military officers were reportedly 'staggered' to learn that Obama had approved an arms sale to the Lebanese army from Turkey. The deal includes training from Turkish military instructors. Lebanon has repeatedly threatened Israel and promised to help Hizballah in a confrontation.

Israel was not warned about the deal before hand. Some in Israel believe the deal was meant to drive a wedge between Ankara (Turkey) and Tel Aviv (Israel). I really hope they are wrong. What could be the end game of creating tension between Israel and Turkey? If that had occurred on its own, then Israel might need to draw more heavily on the United States. Since it was in part fueled by Obama, it is hard to imagine Israel wanting to rely more heavily on us.

If relations strain enough between the United States and Israel enough, they might start ally shopping. It would not surprise me in the least if both China and India have fueled planes warmed up on the runway with five billion dollars in the hold ready to race each other to Tel Aviv. It is hard to come up with a worse two country combination from the United State's dominance perspective then Israeli technology with Chinese or Indian manpower.

Now That's an Idea! You should fly it by Israeli authorities. Then request some commission.

Jokes aside, it's become quite know by now how grand Bam's love to Israel is. Just check out his friends... Here's a pretty thorough article about it: http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/01/barack_obama_and_israel.html

And I'm sure China and India would jsut love some military technology "product of Israel". Perhaps they'll even pay better...
