It also turns out that the suspect, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, was under investigation by the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force before the shooting (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=7730637&page=1).

Daris Long, My condolences and prayers go out to you and your family at this time. I am appreciative of your service to this country, andthe ultimate price of service given by your son. This cowardly, under reported, act of home-grown terrorism must not be overlooked by our press, and current goverment As a N.Y resident I know the result of taking a casual attitude towards our freedom, and protection. I will till my last day suffer from 9/11 and the events of that day.Thank-you to for in your time of grief standing up for all of us and telling your (our) shared loss and story, It must be told.
