Supermassive Black Holes Collide (Picture)

You are looking at the center of galaxy NGC 6240 where two super massive black holes appear to be in the process of colliding. They pictured roughly 3,000 light-years apart. It is a tango you would not want to be anywhere near for fear of getting shredded on an atomic level. From afar, it looks spectacular.
