Iranian Revolution (Day Twenty-Three)

Update (7/6/2009):Berman Post: Iranian Revolution (Day Twenty-Four). End of Update:

Mousavi, as he promised to do a few days ago; (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/04/AR2009070402685.html) "released documents Saturday detailing a campaign of alleged fraud by supporters of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that assured his reelection, while an adviser to Iran's supreme leader accused Mousavi of treason.
...
In a 24-page document posted on his Web site, Mousavi's special committee studying election fraud accused influential Ahmadinejad supporters of handing out cash bonuses and food, increasing wages, printing millions of extra ballots and other acts in the run-up to the vote.
".

In their efforts to clamp down on the outward flow of information the Iranian government will start prosecuting satellite TV contributors; (http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/07/05/iran.communication.crackdown/index.html) "In another move to crack down on information flowing out of Iran, the Islamic Republic's judicial chief has ordered the prosecution of individuals "who cooperate with satellite television programming providers," a reformist newspaper reported Sunday.".

A clerical group voices their opposition to the Iranian authorities; (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090705/wl_mideast_afp/iranvoteclerics [via http://ace.mu.nu/archives/289334.php])"A pro-reform clerical group protested against the official results of Iran's June 12 presidential election, in a statement made available to AFP.

Blasting the official electoral watchdog, the Guardians Council, the Assembly of Qom Seminary Scholars and Researchers said it no longer had the "right to judge in this case as some of its members have lost their impartial image in the eyes of the public."
".

One more British embassy worker will be freed (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8134813.stm). That leaves one left being held by Iranian authorities. There is also not conflicting stories on if the last worker being held has actually been charged with a crime (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fgw-iran6-2009jul06,0,4253099.story).

Saudi Arabia gives the green light to Israel to use their air space for a strike against Iran's nuclear facilities; (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6638568.ece) "The head of Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran’s nuclear sites.".

Biden also seemed to give Israel the green light to strike Iran; (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090705/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_us_iran_israel_6) "Vice President Joe Biden signaled that the Obama administration would not stand in the way if Israel chose to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, even as the top U.S. military officer said any attack on Iran would be destabilizing.".

Ed Morrissey asks regarding the green light from Biden, "I wonder if Joe Biden checked in with the boss before saying this ... Green light? Or just Biden being green at diplomacy, Obama-style?" (http://hotair.com/archives/2009/07/05/saudis-giving-israel-a-green-light-on-iran).

More thoughts from Biden (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/05/iran-uprising-blogging-su_n_225796.html).

Ruthie Leibowitz thinks "'The revolution in Iran has just begun'" (http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1246443715782&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FPrinter [via http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2009/07/iranian-revolution-day-23-neda-soltani-the-symbol-of-iranian-resistance-was-a-christian.html]).

Afshin Molavi asks "Who Will Stand With Iranians?" (http://raymankojast.blogspot.com/2009/07/who-will-stand-with-iranians.html).

YouTube's rating system proves to be confusing regarding the Iranian Protests (http://www.pagef30.com/2009/07/youtube-needs-to-change-their-ratings.html).

Interesting political cartoons and picture (http://www.pagef30.com/2009/07/iran-after-elections-5-july.html).

What it says:
Top part: What we want (خواست ما)
Bottom in bold: A second referendum (رفراندم مجدد)
