Israel vs Hamas (Day Six)
Reports now indicate that 1/8th of Israel's population is now within rocket range of Gaza. Israel killed a top Hamas leader along with some in his family, though the family was warned to leave before the attack. His family refused to leave saying that they were human shields. The dead in Gaza now probably number over 400 (again predominantly militants but some civilians as well) with Israel launching some 500+ sorties. Israel is now fully prepared to invalid on the ground should the order be given. A cease fire may be in the works, but Israel wants international monitors to be responsible to enforce it. It is not clear that this would be acceptable to both sides, nor that the international community wants to get that involved.
