US Making Iranian Nuclear Scientist Disappear?

Is the United States 'snatching' Iranian nuclear scientist. It is actually one of the more plausible accusations leveled against their enemies. If we are not going to bomb them, and sanctions seem hopeless, our choices become letting Iran get the bomb or kidnapping their scientist. I doubt that is what is at play. It is unlikely we could get enough to make a significant difference without it become apparent what we were doing, which would defeat the whole point of the exercise.

"Iran accused the United States on Wednesday of involvement in the disappearance of a technology university researcher "rumored" to be involved in Tehran's nuclear program, Iranian media reported.

ISNA news agency referred to "some rumors that Shahram Amiri, who went missing during a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in June, was an employee of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization who wanted to seek asylum abroad.

Maybe it was the "Zionist squirrels" (http://www.jihadwatch.org/2009/10/iran-accuses-us-of-making-nuke-scientist-disappear.html).
