Specter Denied Seniority

Arlen Specter (D) has been denied seniority by the Democrats. Getting seniority on some committees was promised to him by Harry Reid (D). Reid was over ruled. Specter has now gone from be one of the most senior Republicans to being one of the most junior Democrats. This is going to make it hard for Specter to argue that people in his state should vote for him in 2010 because he can bring 'goodies' home. People who would actually vote for him for that now must recognize that Specter really does not have more power in that regard then anyone else they elect.
