An armed college student kills a home invader, likely saving ten lives in the process. Two masked gunman crashed a birthday party. The gunman demanded wallets and cell phones, and separated the men and woman. Separating men and woman is a very bad sign, but it got worse. One of the gunman started counting his ammo. The other gunman asked how many bullets he had, to which he replied "enough". Knowing what was coming next, a quick thinking student grabbed a gun out of a bag and started shooting. The invader who was watching the men ran for his life. The student then ran to where the woman were being held, screamed at the woman to get down, and started shooting at the remaining gunman. It appears that the second gunman was preparing to rape the student's girlfriend. The gunman jumped out the window, but later died from the gunshot wounds. One of the woman was hit in the crossfire but survived.
Good thing that student was not 'protected' by living in a gun free zone. If he did not have a gun in that bag, chances are good this would have turned out much differently. Ironically, the potential massacre would almost certainly have been used by gun control proponents as evidence for the need of tighter gun laws. Of course, this story proves that just the opposite is true.

Speaking of good gun laws (not being sarcastic), Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer (D) signed an interesting new bill. Head over to http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2009/05/06/governor-brian-schweitzer-d-signs-revolutionary-new-gun-law-in-montana for the details. Basically, the state is making it much easier to get a gun then federal gun laws do.
