UN Human Rights Council Passed Resolution to End Critcism of Religion

This resolution seems like a noble endeavor on the surface. Who would not want a more civility in conversation? The problem comes about when you scratch that surface. The first thing that jumps out at you is that in order to enforce this you have to get rid of the pesky notion of freedom of speech. Even if you are ok with that, and hopefully you are not, it transfers where rights are vested. Think about it, your rights are vested in you; the individual. For this resolution to be enforced, the right is vested in a religion. It just goes contrary to what we believe. Lastly, there is a notion that not all criticism is bad. If someone kills innocents in the name of g-d, that should be criticized.
