Obama nominated Ron Kirk to be US Trade Representative. Slight problem, Kirk owes $10,000 in back taxes from an earlier decade and another $2,600 from mistakes in recent years. He has agreed to pay the back taxes. Despite the tax mishap he is still expected to be confirmed. Kirk is the latest in an increasingly long line of Obama nominees with tax problems.

Nancy Killefer, Obama's pick for chief performance officer, also bowed out amid tax problems."
