Obama Nominates Brother of Undecided (on ObamaCare) House Democrat to Appeals Court

Scott Matheson, the brother of the undecided congressman nominated to the 10th circuit appears to have the right credentials for the position. The piece quoted below does not depute that; themselves quoting at length his accomplishments. I think this may more likely be a case of bad timing. I would bet the outcry would be worse if the nomination had happened after the congressman had voted yes. The congressman may still vote no, but you can bet they vote yes they will face campaign ads with accusation similar to the ones being hinted at now.

"Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit."
