Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett Was Beaten With a Pipe

Tom Barrett, mayor of Milwaukee, was beaten with a metal pipe when he after he left the Wisconsin State Fair. He was responding to a women yelling for help and tried to dial 911. The assailant diverted his attention from the women in and proceeded to attack the mayor which put him in the hospital. Barrett is said to be in stable condition. The suspect has not yet been captured.

"Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was taken to a hospital Saturday night after he was attacked by an individual with a pipe as he left the Wisconsin State Fair.

According to a statement from the Milwaukee Police Department, Barrett attempted to call 911 after he heard a woman yelling for help as he left the state fair grounds. A suspect, who was attacking the woman, then charged Barrett and began hitting him with a metal pipe. The suspect fled the scene before authorities arrived.

The Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement on Sunday that Barrett was in stable condition at a local hospital and was alert and talking when he arrived on Saturday night. Police are still searching for the subject.

  1. I dont think anyone should be beaten,but I will tell you this much,If he HAD a gun,this wouldn't have happened......maybe he will think twice about conceal and carry.On a side note if he is doesnt like GUNS so much,why does he have a security detail that HAS guns,Hypocrite...
