Specter Admits he Does Not Read Bills Before Voting on Them

Arlen Specter (D) admitted he does not read long bills before voting on them. He explained to a less then enthusiastic crowd (to put it mildly) that he splits up the bill among his staff and make judgments very fast. He does say that he understands the bill before he votes. Still, I am forced to once again ask both what exactly these people (our Representatives) do, and what the big rush is.

The same people were not confident that the Government should be taking over healthcare.
