The Republican rebuttal to Obama's First State of the Union Speech (
Berman Post: Obama's First State of the Union Speech) was given by Bobby Jindal. His message was good, but his presentation left something to be desired. You could cut him some slack for nerves as this is probobly the largest audience and one of the most important speeches of his political life thus far. Still, it was hearing Obama's first major speech at the Dem convention in 2004 which convinced me he would be on the ticket in 2008 (
Berman Post: Election Day 2008).
I still think Jindal has a good shot at the Republican ticket in 2012 if he wants it (
Berman Post: Predictions for the 2012 Election).
