Obama Administration Misses $100 Million Cut in 90 Days Deadline

Remember that $100 million Obama said he would cut from his trillion dollar deficit budget (Berman Post: Obama Orders $100 Million of $3.5 Trillion Budget Identified to Cut and Berman Post: Obama's $100M budget Cut Visualized)? He said set the deadline at 90 days for that amount which was laughed at on the right for both the pitifully small amount and ridiculous length of time. Obama just missed the deadline. Not to worry though because they are still 'working on it'.

"On April 20, President Obama challenged his Cabinet to cut $100 million in spending over the next 90 days.

The deadline came -- and went -- without a report from the White House on whether or not that promise was fulfilled.

Asked about the spending cuts, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Monday that information still was being compiled.

  1. I wonder how much it will cost the taxpayer to compile the report showing how the government saved $100 million by cutting back on office supplies.
