The Dow dropped 444.99 points. Combining the drop with yesterday makes for the largest two day percentage loss for the Dow since October of 1987 (10.6% loss). The S&P lost 6.71% hitting a numerical low not seen since April of 1997. The Nasdaq which did better then the other two indexes still was down more than 5%; better here is obviously a relative term.
