Obama - "Any And All Appropriate Laws be Followed"

Upon learning about the status of Obama's "Aunti Zeituni", he said that he "believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed". Some are concerned with the language "appropriate laws" in that last quote. The implication being that Obama does not believe certain laws should be followed. That is especially important given the potential Supreme Court nominations he would likely make if elected president.

My inclination is to give Obama the benefit of the doubt on this one. The connection seems to tenuous. It may just be a saying of sorts. Clearly, murder laws are not "appropriate" in a standard illegal immigration type case. He may also be saying that his aunt should not be treated any differently than anyone else in her situation. I am not really reading anything into that quote, but that is just my opinion. Read the opinion at http://althouse.blogspot.com below and make up your own mind.

"The latest news on Zeituni Onyango -- Obama's "Aunti Zeituni."

UPDATE: AP has this:
A statement given to the AP by Obama's campaign said, "Senator Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed."
What?

"any and all appropriate laws be followed"

Here's a new quote to exploit, kids. Obama's view of the law is that you only need to follow the "appropriate laws." [AND: Click the "kids" link and consider what I said here before freaking out.)
