President Elect Barack Obama has officially resigned from the United States Senate. He is obviously preparing to the Presidency and as such is vacating his senate seat. Vice president elect Joe Biden is chosing to wait before resigning from his senate seat. He has said that he will resign when he gets sworn in as the Vice Presidnet.
