Colmes to Leave "Hannity & Colmes"

Alan Colmes, the co-host of Hannity & Colmes, will be leaving the show at the end of the year. He has been their in with the same time slot for 12 years. The show captured the number one ranking in 2003 and have never released it. He is not leaving Fox News altogether. Colmes will continue to be a liberal commentator and host his own radio show. Their is word that he is developing his own weekend show similar to Hannity's America. It is not clear what will become of the show (Hannity & Colmes) but it seems that it may just become Hannity (solo). If given a vote, I would like to see Colmes replaced with another liberal commentator instead of it just becoming the Hannity Show. My specific vote would go to Kirsten Powers.

"Alan Colmes is leaving his position as co-host of "Hannity & Colmes" at the end of 2008.

According to the FNC release, he will stay on as a liberal commentator for FNC and as host of The Alan Colmes Show on FOX News Radio. He will also begin developing a weekend program for FNC.

Colmes has been co-host of the 9pmET program for 12 years.
