Lockerbie Bomber Still Alive

The released Lockerbie Bomber, release on account of his 'failing health' and his prognosis of 'less then three months to live', is still alive and kicking. Can this count as proof supporters of his release were wrong? It was clear to a lot of people before this that a man should get more than two weeks per murder victim regardless of their health condition.
