Health Care Bill Passes in The House

The vote was 220-215 (218 is just over half) with only one Republican voting yes and 39 Democrats voting no. This is not the end of the debate. A bill must pass in the Senate, then the two must be reconciled, followed by another round of voting. It is a first step in what is shaping up to be an almost exclusively Democrat run overhaul of our health care system.

"The final vote was a narrow 220-215. Only one Republican — Rep. Joseph Cao of Louisiana — voted for the measure; 39 Democrats voted against it."
