Brady Calls on Geithner to Step Down, Geithner Rejects

Kevin Brady (R) called on Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to step down. Geithner rejected this call. The exchange gets a bit heated, as you may expect when someone basically tells someone else to their face essentially that they have been a miserable failure and should leave.

Geithner countered by saying that 'by any measurement of the economic system it is substantially stronger then when Obama took office'. As Publius nicely puts it; "Apparently, “any measurement” doesn’t include the unemployment rate, job growth, number of jobs, wage growth, hours worked, home foreclosures, rate of mortgage delinquencies, etc."
