Obama Administration Trying to Claim Responsibility For Victory in Iraq

The Obama administration is claiming responsibility for victory in Iraq. This is foolish as Obama was an opponent of the war and of the surge that won the war. It also seems like a pointless accomplishment grab; the people who generally apposed his foreign policy will not believe it, and the people who supported his foreign policy wanted nothing to do with Iraq. More appropriately he could say that he did not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by dropping everything and leaving the day after he took office.
