Democrats Seeking to Bypass Pay-Go

In another move that shows the Democrats are more interested in looking like they are doing something about out of control deficits then actually doing something about them, they are trying to bypass pay-go after pushing it as a solution. The work around is to declare the projects/bills they are working on now as 'emergency spending' which is not subject to the provision. If you do not plan on abiding by your own regulations what is the point of passing them in the first place? The only things I can come up with are rather nefarious in nature; pretending to solve a real problem for political gain while actually making it worse.

"The ink is barely dry on the pay-as-you-go law, and Democrats are seeking to bypass it to enact parts of their job-creation agenda.

Democratic leaders said extensions of unemployment insurance and COBRA healthcare benefits should be emergency spending that isn’t subject to the pay-as-you-go statute, which requires new non-discretionary spending to be offset with spending cuts or tax increases.
