Jewish Leader Hits Stone Throwing Palestinian Kids

The hit looks pretty bad but from the reports I have seen on TV the kids are not expected to have any lingering issues/injuries from the encounter. It appears in the video that Be'eri swerved to avoid other kids that had run out onto the road to pelt his car with stones; you know, but because throwing rocks at a moving vehicle from the side walk is just to far away. There is an important life lesson here, one which people should not need to be taught. Do not throw rocks at cars, especially not when you are in their path. The sound of stones bouncing off the car and shattering glass can be distracting to the driver. The driver will also tend to be more concerned with leaving the area quickly before the mob kills them and any passengers they may have then about the safety of the people trying to kill them.

Video embedded below.

"Video taken by the Associated Press news agency during the incident shows Be'eri driving into a group of Palestinian youths throwing rocks. One of the children struck was thrown into the air, hit the windshield, then landed on the asphalt street.

He was taken to Moqassed Hospital in East Jerusalem. He is stable but suffers from head trauma and lower body injuries according to hospital officials.

Be'eri was questioned by police, but was later released.

According to reports he said he feared for his life and wanted to escape the stone-throwers.

The incident took place in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, which in recent weeks has been a flashpoint for violence between Israelis and Palestinians.
