Video embedded below.
You can what this video instead to see the comparison shots while Schultz is talking.
In case you missed it, Schultz used the report of a quote from the organizer as if it was the estimate from the news organization. In fact, the news organization went on to say that his rally was smaller. It would be as if I held a rally, claimed that a million people showed up, the Times reported that I claimed that the rally had a million people adding that in truth my mother did not even bother coming, and then I used the Times quoting me as evidence that a million people actually did show up.
It is possible that Schultz did not know the new organization went on to say that his rally had less then Beck's, given some creative editing by MSNBC of the article they ran.
"the most obvious thing that MSNBC chose to edit out of the story was the reporter's crowd size estimate... one that would embarrass Shultz, who had previously bragged he could draw a bigger crowd than that which attended Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" held on August 28th.
Organizers claimed they had as many participants as Beck's rally. But Saturday's crowds were less dense and didn't reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck's rally. The National Park Service stopped providing official crowd estimates in the 1990s.
It's almost as if MSNBC itself was embarrassed to admit the radicals and outcasts that showed up at the rally they championed, or the decidedly low turnout."
