Woman Gives Birth at 70

An Indian woman has given birth at the age of 70. She is thought to be the oldest person to give birth. Rajo Devi and her husband used fertility treatment. Rajo Devi and her husband had not been able to have children previously. Bala Ram, Rajo Devi's husband, is 72.

"The couple said they were facing social stigma for being childless for the last 55 years.

"We used the usual intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) technique in her case. The ICSI method enables even poor quality sperms being used creating embryos," said Dr Bishnoi."
