Google Chrome Goes Live

Google Chrome went live today. I have had a chance to play around with it a bit and like what I see. This qualifies as one of those products that is best experimented with as opposed to read about, so head on over to http://www.google.com/chrome and download it for your self. At worst you will have wasted five minutes of your time. Alternatively, you may have found a nice back up web browser, or even your new main web browser.

I am sticking with Fire Fox as my main web browser for now, but as I continue to experiment with Chrome, who knows?

"In yesterday's post on Google Chrome, we promised to let you know when it would be available for everyone to try -- and that time is now. Visit http://www.google.com/chrome to download and start exploring. (For the moment, it's available only for Windows users, but you can sign up on the download page to learn when the Mac and Linux versions are available.)"

  1. I may switch if the right plugins for Chrome come along. I have already switched for some aspects of my browsing.

Here I am comparing it to Firefox: http://blog.gadodia.net/google-chrome-vs-mozilla-firefox/

  2. "We are so, so happy with Google Chrome," mumbled Mozilla CEO John Lilly through gritted teeth. "That most of our income is from Google has no bearing on me making this statement." http://notnews.today.com/?p=57
