Egyptian Army Intervenes to Protect Protesters From Police

It is not clear if the military is trying to protect the protesters (as in quasi-siding with them) or trying to keep violence to a minimum and the corresponding body count as low as possible. Either way, it beats indiscriminate firing into the crowd.
