In his first definitive statement since becoming President, Obama came out against reviving the Fairness Doctrine. This is good news. Some are concerned that while ruling out the Fairness Doctrine, Obama might try to back door the policy in another way such as Localism. We will have to see what happens, but for now at least all seems quite on this front.
